NoFire paint is a non-flammable fire retardant paint which belongs to a class known as Intumescents. 

Introduction to NoFire

NoFire is an intumescent material. Intumescent coatings activate in response to high heat or fire, typically at temperatures between 300º-500 º F (149 º – 260 º C).  They expand in thickness, up to 50 times the original size, to form an insulation barrier, protecting the surface material from fire and heat and stops the spread of fire.

In response to high heat or fire, Nofire forms a highly insulating, noncombustible barrier, providing protection at temperatures in excess of 20000 F (1093 º C).

It is effective, economical and easy to apply to most common materials such as wood and wood products, gypsum wallboard, concrete, walls, steel and other metals and many types of plastic and composites.
